Gerry Rafferty (born April 16, 1947 in Paisley, Scotland) is a British singer and ballad maker.

Fallowing working using Billy Connolly (now better called a comedian) within the b& called the Humblebums, in the mid-1970s Rafferty joined using his old school friend Joe Egan and others to form Stealers Wheel, a class action beset by legal haggling however which did have a vast hit using "Stuck in the Middle With You" (later immortalised inside the ill-famed torture scene in Reservoir Dogs).

Inside 1978, Rafferty cut a solo album, City to City, which contained a song by having which he remains associated, "Baker Street". A only narrowly missed a UK number one spot, but the album sold hundreds to thousands of copies each there & in the The states, & remains a mainstay of radio airplay. A second song off that album, "Right Down the Line", as well continues to receive extensive FM radio instance.

His next record, Night Owl, also sold swell, however his star fell throughout a Eighties, & when he is however working, he has got little commercial profits since.
